Photography has been a key to me.

A key that has unlocked many doors of opportunity, which have brought me both professional and personal gain. Over the past decade or so, my passion for images and creating them developed into an instinct.

I began my photographic career in 2009 with wedding photography.  I learned how to photograph professionally in real life settings for 7 years. The large responsibility of capturing precious, once in a lifetime moments was a great platform for me to develop a truly strong foundation as a professional photographer. These skills came hand in hand learning to run a successful wedding photography business.

During this period, I was delighted have my work in wedding photography internationally recognised.  I was honoured with an award from AGWPJA (Artistic Guild of the Wedding Photojournalist Association) and was certified a Master Photographer by the Master Photographers Association UK.

These recognitions allowed me to gain personal perspective on my progress in the field. Having gained these skills and recognitions, I decided to explore telling stories in a broader context by pursuing a degree in Documentary Photography at the University of South Wales, Cardiff in 2016. This has been instrumental in moving me the next level in my journey as a photographer.

This blog is the culmination of a long-time aspiration of mine to express perspectives and communicate with the photography community. I would like to share the knowledge I have gained and also share the stages of the journey I am on, both current and future.

Whether you have recently embarked on your journey, are a seasoned photographer or an articulate critic, this space is is for all photographers alike. It contains my thoughts, after thoughts, ideas, opinions, reviews, tips and tricks, as well as story-telling photoessays of topics or subjects I encounter along the way.

My hope is that this blog helps you on your journey, for we share the same passion and love for photography.
